They came! They came!

The boxes came!!! Two men that spoke hardly any English, delivered the boxes this morning. It is about 30 degrees here and the kids were screaming it's Christmas, it's Christmas!! Almost!

Then a small bomb went off in this 900 square foot of heaven;)

I don't know who was happier the kids or me?? The kids have been playing all morning with all their "old" toys. We had their scooters sent too and they have been riding them in a small oval in this apartment and couldn't be happier. Oh yeah, and they got some Ramon noodles for lunch.  That is one of their favorites and their Mommy had a case shipped over! They had no idea they were coming and both of them screamed when I pulled them out of the box. Um, I may have had several boxes of nothing but their favorite foods sent over. So they have been meal planning the next week of all American kid friendly cuisine!

That is not all of it. People I have some dignity! But, trust me we're stocked!!

Oh, and yesterday the kids and I had a fantastic day. We found the closest thing I can find to a large super market and it was awesome. We found syrup, tortillas, coco puffs, and peanut butter MnM's. Yes, it was all very expensive compared to French staples, but we didn't care!! While we were in this large store we noticed that there were flags on some sections to note the different countries and the food represented. Well, of course we had to look and see if there was a U.S. section. As our buggy turned the corner of the aisle, there it was!! A sign of our homeland! And I kid you not, on cue my precious theatrical daughter started belting out "God Bless America". Right there in the French super market. No one else seemed to be amused, but I was tearing up from laughing.

Now, let me comment on the food that was stocked in the U.S.A. food section. What would you think? What food would represent 50 states? There were marshmallows, canned tomato soup, Dr. Pepper, ketchup, peanut butter, popcorn, and several other things that I can't remember. (should have taken a picture) It was interesting. But, I suppose if someone looked through all the food we packed, they would think our 'staples' were interesting too!

Until Next Time,
Megan
